    Billing and payment

    • We are an in-network specialty provider with major health plans. Unlike traditional care, we don’t bill for each visit. Instead, we bill in milestones tied to your progress, starting right after your initial GI provider visit.

Most people pay the equivalent of their specialist copay for each billing milestone. That said, your out-of-pocket costs are dependent on the details of your insurance plan. For more details, please contact your health plan or our billing team at [email protected]

If you choose to stop engaging with Oshi’s care, you’ll only be billed for the care rendered.

      More about our billing model.

    • Once your insurance finishes processing your claim, we’ll send you a statement for any remaining balance. This typically happens within 30–60 days after your initial onboarding visit or once a billing milestone is met. You may also receive a notification of your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance before receiving a bill from us. If there’s any delay, it’s usually related to insurance processing time.

    • When your billing statement is available, you will receive an email from Oshi Health with the subject “View and Pay your Balance Online Today” and paper statement to the address on-file. The email will also include a link to pay your bill online through a secure payment portal using any major credit card. If you prefer to pay by check, you can send a payment to the mailing address included with your billing statement.

    • Oshi Health Medical Group is the name of the medical entity that employs Oshi Health providers. You will see it on several Oshi Health documents, including billing statements, order forms, and other medical documents.

    • Yes, copays, deductibles, and other costs related to visits or external care services are HSA or FSA eligible for most patients. We recommend checking with your FSA/HSA provider for more information and details on how you can use these funds.

    • There’s no long-term or locked-in contract with Oshi Health. You can choose to end your care at any time. If you decide to opt out, you’ll still have access to your care team and everything in the Oshi app for one year from the date you started care. During that time, you can return to schedule a visit if you’d like, and you’ll continue to have access to your chat messages, visit summaries, and care plans.

If you’re thinking about ending care, we recommend scheduling a quick call with our billing team to review any potential remaining costs. You can reach them at [email protected] or feel free to schedule a time that works best for you using the following link: oshihealth.com/billingcall.
