    • Oshi Health is virtual GI care designed to give you timely access to high-quality, integrated digestive care. 

      Your first visit is with a GI provider (a nurse practitioner or physician associate) who specializes in digestive health. They’ll take the time to review your history, symptoms, and care goals, and build a personalized care plan right away. 

      If they think you’d benefit from additional support, they may refer you to other Oshi specialists, including:

      • Registered dietitians to help you identify any food triggers, build realistic nutrition plans, and provide evidence-based dietary support for symptom relief
      • Gut-brain specialists to address the stress-gut connection using research-based strategies 

      Our providers work under the guidance of certified gastroenterologists.

      You’ll also have access to our care coordinators, who can help you navigate your health journey, including medical record retrieval and any external referrals or procedural needs. 

      You’ll access everything via the Oshi Health mobile app, including visits, messaging, care plans, and scheduling. 

    • Oshi Health is in-network with many major health plans. Like traditional GI practices, we bill your insurance as a specialist. During the brief sign-up process, you’ll have the option to upload a picture of your insurance card. To avoid delays, be sure to submit all required insurance information. If we are able to successfully verify your eligibility, you can expect an eligibility confirmation email within 48 hours.

      Most Oshi patients pay their specialist copay for the first visit. Your out-of-pocket costs (including copays and deductibles) will depend on your health plan details. To get a tailored cost estimate, click here to provide your plan information.

      We also partner with employers to offer their employees access to Oshi’s GI care for as little as $0. To see if your employer offers Oshi, click here

    • After signing up, you’ll be able to schedule your first visit with an Oshi GI provider (a nurse practitioner or physician associate with specialized training in gastroenterology). Once you complete the sign-up process and book an appointment, our team will start verifying your insurance. 

      You can book a visit at any time through the Oshi Health app. Just log in and choose an appointment time that works for you. 

      Please note that we’re not currently in-network with Medicare or Medicaid plans. 

    • Virtual visits take place by secure video through the Oshi app or a desktop link emailed to you. Before your appointment, make sure your audio and video are working, your internet connection is stable, and you’re in a quiet, private environment. We pride ourselves on running on time, so please try to log in a few minutes early.

      Please note that you cannot be driving during your appointment. 

    • During your first visit, your GI provider will get to know you, review your health history and care goals, and begin developing your personalized treatment plan. Depending on your unique needs, your provider may recommend labs and/or visits with Oshi’s registered dietitians and gut-brain specialists. 

    • Oshi can complement your existing GI care with personalized medical, dietary, and gut-brain care. Our flexible virtual visits make it easy to connect with your team at a time that’s convenient for you—including evenings and weekends. Whether you have questions between appointments or need help with a flare-up, Oshi gives you timely access to GI care when you need it most.

      If you have an existing GI provider, your Oshi care team can share notes about your treatment, with your permission, keeping everyone looped in on your progress. 

    • In addition to your personalized care plan, your Oshi providers may also prescribe personalized care resources (e.g., educational materials, symptom-management tools, nutrition guidance, and gut-brain exercises) to support you between visits. These resources are continuously being developed and updated by our clinical team.
