    Medical Services

    • Yes, your healthcare provider can prescribe medications, just like any other medical practice. Your healthcare provider can also order labs, radiological imaging studies, and order studies when necessary.

    • To securely share your medical records, please send them to your GI Care Coordinator via chat in the Oshi Health mobile app. You can send screenshots, attachments or links to our team. You can also email your documents to [email protected].

    • Oshi Health will always strive to connect you with lab testing sites that are in-network with your current insurance plan. You may be responsible for your regular copay, coinsurance, or deductible owed depending on your insurance benefits. Please check your insurance policy or reach out to your insurance provider to better understand your costs.

    • While this varies depending on the test performed, most test results are made available to your Oshi Health GI-specialized care team within 24 hours of collection. Please note, some tests may take up to several days or weeks.

All lab results are sent directly to your ordering Oshi Health GI-specialized provider. If follow-up is needed, your GI Health Coach will reach out directly to you with next steps.

    • Yes, your Oshi Health provider can prescribe medications, just like any other medical practice. Your provider can also order labs, radiological imaging studies, and other clinical tests, when necessary, at a local GI clinic.

    • Oshi Health is a virtual care practice so all appointments are conducted via telehealth. The majority of the time, we can handle all of your care needs through a combination of virtual visits and prescriptions. However, there are some cases when in-person services are required, such as when colonoscopy is needed for a more in-depth review of your digestive health.

When an in-person service is required, we’ll refer you to a local GI clinic that can perform the in-person services you require. Please keep in mind that during this process, your GI Care Coordinator is available to help you however needed, even for local GI clinic help (scheduling off-site tests, visits, etc.)

    • For many patients, telehealth will be sufficient to handle their care needs. Through telehealth, your providers can order medications, labs, imaging, or other diagnostic tests. There are some cases where in-person care is required for patient safety. In these cases, Oshi Health will help find you an in-network provider.

    • Oshi Health believes people suffering from digestive health issues should not have to wait to see a specialist and should have access to an integrated care team in one place. We built our model to be digital-first, to ensure that members have quick, convenient access to a GI-specialized care team when they need it. In situations where an in-person procedure is required, our care coordinators will work to identify a local provider and help schedule your appointment.

    • It is possible as some blood tests may require fasting before having your blood drawn. Your GI-specialized care team will inform you if you need to take any special action prior to completing your lab work.

If you have questions, you can always reach out to your GI Care Coordinator via the Oshi Health mobile app.
