What is a web cache and why should I clear it?
If you experience any difficulties with the webpage during the sign-up process, you may need to clear your cache. Clearing the cache and cookies from a web browser is an important first step to troubleshoot for internet browsing.The ‘cache’ is a tool used by your internet browser to speed up the page loading process. However, sometimes it can cause a problem when websites are updated and developed. Clearing the cache and cookies can help us determine whether the website itself is the source of the issue you’re experiencing.
For Google Chrome, follow these steps:
- Select the menu icon on the top right of the google chrome window
- Navigate to settings
- Navigate to Privacy and Security
- Select Clear browsing data
- Check Cookies and other site data
- Select clear at the bottom of the page
For Safari, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the safari menu
- Navigate to History
- At the bottom of the window select “Clear History “
- Select Clear History at the bottom of the popup window
For iOS Safari, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the settings on your device
- From settings select Safari
- Navigate to the bottom of the page and select “Clear History and Website Data”
- Select “Clear History and Data”
- Select “Keep Tabs”
For Android, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Google Chrome web browser
- Select Menu on the top right
- Select Clear Browsing data at the top of the page
- Select Clear data at the bottom of the page
