How detailed does my tracking need to be?

We encourage you to be as detailed as you feel is manageable. Knowing food ingredients, the amount of each ingredient, and the portion size you consume helps your clinical team make the most appropriate recommendations for you. This is especially important for members following specific diet protocols, as the quantity of a food consumed can have a big impact on how symptoms may respond. 

We know that it can feel tedious to record this level of detail. Tracking can offer significant value when working to understand how diet and GI symptoms are related, and often it only needs to be used short-term.You can also share pictures of ingredient labels and/or meals with your care team to supplement tracking if you find that easier.
