    Appointments and scheduling

    • Not necessarily. What matters is the state you’re physically located in at the time of your appointment. For legal reasons, your provider must be licensed in the state where you are during your visit.

      When you sign up, we use the address you provide to match you with the providers who are licensed in that state. For example, if you register with a New Jersey address, you’ll be shown appointment times with providers licensed in New Jersey.

      If you plan to attend your appointment from a different state than the one you entered when signing up, please contact us ahead of time. We’ll confirm that your provider is licensed in that state or help you reschedule with someone who is.

    • You can book an appointment with your care team in the Oshi Health mobile app by following these steps:

      1. Open the Oshi Health mobile app and navigate to Appointments.
      2. Select Book Appointment and select a provider. If you have been referred to a registered dietitian or gut-brain specialist, select the provider type under My Referrals.
      3. Follow the steps to book an appointment at a time that’s convenient for you. Later appointment times can be found by scrolling right. 
    • If you are unable to attend an appointment, you can follow these steps to reschedule or cancel:

      1. Open the Oshi Health mobile app and navigate to Appointments.
      2. Make sure Upcoming Visits is selected in the upper left corner. Select the appointment you wish to change, and choose ‘Reschedule’ or ‘Cancel Appointment.’ 
      3. If you are rescheduling, follow the steps to book a new appointment time that works for you.

      We understand that life happens, but please let us know in advance, when possible, if you are unable to attend an appointment. Please note that appointments canceled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the scheduled time are considered missed appointments.

    • You can view your upcoming scheduled appointments in the Oshi Health mobile app by following these steps:

      1. Open the Oshi Health mobile app and navigate to Appointments.
      2. Select Upcoming Visits in the upper left corner. If you have any upcoming appointments scheduled, they will appear on this screen.
    • To help our care team prepare for your appointment, please confirm your appointment. You can do so via push notification (if enabled) or in the Oshi Health mobile app up to 72 hours before your visit. 

      Please confirm at least 24 hours before your visit, when possible. If you need to reschedule, you can do so in the Oshi Health mobile app.

      To confirm your appointment via push notification:

      Tap the confirmation notification you receive 72 hours before your appointment. This will open the Oshi Health mobile app, where you can select ‘Confirm.’ You will then receive a message in the Oshi Health mobile app confirming your appointment. You must have push notifications enabled to receive this communication.

      To confirm your appointment via the Oshi Health mobile app (without push notification):

      Log in and navigate to Appointments. Find your upcoming appointment and select ‘Confirm.’ You will then receive a message in the Oshi Health mobile app confirming your appointment.

      To confirm your appointment via email: 

      Click the ‘Confirm’ button in the confirmation email you receive 24 hours before your visit. You will be prompted to confirm your attendance via a pre-populated email. Just hit send, and you’re good to go.

    • After you book an appointment with your Oshi provider, it will appear on the Appointments screen in the Oshi app. At the time of your appointment, follow these steps to join:

      1. Open the Oshi Health mobile app and navigate to Appointments
      2. Tap Join Appointment 

      Tip: To receive a notification when your appointment begins, turn on push notifications in the Oshi Health mobile app on your phone. This will let you easily join your appointment by tapping the push notification.

    • You can find your visit summaries in the Oshi Health mobile app by following these steps:

      1. Open the Oshi Health mobile app and navigate to Appointments
      2. Select Visit Summaries in the upper right corner. If you have any visit summaries, they will appear on this screen.
      3. You can click on a specific visit to open a visit summary

      Please note: Your summary will appear after your care team processes the next steps in your care plan. 

      Tip: All unread visit summaries will display a red icon in the upper-right corner. Once the visit summary is opened, the red icon will disappear, indicating that you have opened and read it.

    • At Oshi Health, our goal is to provide you with access to timely, high-quality care. Your appointment time is reserved just for you, and our providers take the dedicated time to prepare in advance of each visit. 

      Our late cancellation policy helps us maintain our standard of care, an efficient schedule, and accommodate our members’ needs. We kindly request that you read and understand the following policy:

      • We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and you may need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. For any changes, we appreciate at least 48 hours’ notice before your scheduled appointment.

        To reschedule or cancel your appointment, please do so via the Oshi Health mobile app. You can also contact a care coordinator via chat message in the mobile app or text us at (646) 876-8455 (9 am – 6 pm EST).

        The late cancellation policy applies if you cancel or reschedule your appointment within 48 hours of the scheduled time, or if you do not attend the visit.

      • A fee of $50 may be charged for late cancellations and reschedules, or missed appointments. This fee covers the time and resources allocated to your appointment.

      • Late cancellation fees are the sole responsibility of the patient. Payment can be made by credit card or check.

      • We understand that life happens, and emergencies and exceptional circumstances may occur. If you have an emergency or exceptional circumstance, please inform us as soon as possible, and we will handle your situation on a case-by-case basis.

      • We make our best efforts to remind you of upcoming appointments via email, push notifications in our mobile app, and other communications, using the contact information you provided at registration. However, we are not liable for any late reschedules, cancellations, or missed appointments.

      • By scheduling an appointment with Oshi Health, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this late cancellation policy. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us provide the best possible care to all our patients.
