    Appointments and scheduling

    • You can book an appointment with your care team in the Oshi Health mobile app by following these steps:

      1. Open the Oshi Health mobile app and navigate to Appointments
      2. Select Book Appointment and select a provider. If you have been referred to a GI Registered Dietitian or GI Behavioral Health provider, select the provider type under My Referrals.
      3. Walk through the steps to book an appointment time that’s convenient for you
    • If you are unable to attend an appointment, you can follow these steps to reschedule or cancel:

      1. Open the Oshi Health mobile app and navigate to Appointments
      2. Make sure Upcoming Visits is selected in the upper left corner. Select the appointment you wish to change, and choose ‘Reschedule’ or ‘Cancel Appointment.’ 
      3. If you are rescheduling, walk through the steps to book a new appointment time that’s convenient for you

      We understand that life happens but please let us know in advance when possible if you are unable to attend an appointment. Please note that appointments canceled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the appointment are considered missed appointments. 

    • You can view your upcoming scheduled appointments in the Oshi Health mobile app by following these steps:

      1. Open the Oshi Health mobile app and navigate to Appointments
      2. Select Upcoming Visits in the upper left corner. If you have any upcoming appointments scheduled, they will appear on this screen.
    • To help our care team prepare to meet with you, we ask that you confirm your scheduled appointment. You can do so via push notification (if enabled) or in the Oshi Health mobile app up to 72 hours before your visit. Please confirm no later than 24 hours before your visit when possible. If you need to reschedule, you can do so in the Oshi Health mobile app.

      To confirm your appointment via push notification, tap the confirmation notification you receive 72 hours before your appointment. This will open the Oshi Health mobile app where you can select ‘Confirm.’ You will then receive a message inside the Oshi Health mobile app that indicates your appointment has been confirmed. Tip: You must have push notifications enabled to receive this communication.

      To confirm your appointment via the Oshi Health mobile app (without push notification), log in and navigate to Appointments. Find your upcoming appointment and select ‘Confirm.’ You will then receive a message inside the Oshi Health mobile app that indicates your appointment has been confirmed.

      To confirm your appointment via email, click the ‘Confirm’ button in the confirmation email you receive 24 hours before your visit. You will be prompted with a pre-populated email confirming your attendance. Just hit send and you’re good to go.

    • After you book an appointment with your GI-specialized provider, it will appear on the Appointments screen. At the time of your appointment, follow these steps to join:

      1. Open the Oshi Health mobile app and navigate to Appointments
      2. Tap Join Appointment 

      Tip: To receive a notification when your appointment begins, turn on push notifications for the Oshi Health mobile app in your phone settings. This will allow you to easily join your appointment by clicking on the push notification.

    • At Oshi Health, our goal is to provide you with the highest quality care and ensure that all members can get seen by their care team in a timely fashion. Your appointment time is reserved just for you, and our providers take the dedicated time to prepare in advance of each visit. 

      Therefore, our late cancellation policy helps us maintain our standard of care, an efficient schedule, and accommodate our members’ needs. We kindly request that you read and understand the following policy.

      Appointment cancellation:

      a. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and you may need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. For any changes, we appreciate a minimum notice of 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.

      b. To reschedule or cancel your appointment, please do so via the Oshi Health mobile app. For more information, view directions on how to change an appointment. You can also contact a GI Care Coordinator via chat message in the mobile app or text us at (646) 876-8455 (9 am – 6 pm EST).

      c. The late cancellation policy will apply if you cancel or reschedule your appointment within 48 hours of the appointment, or if you do not show up to the visit.

      Late change fees:

      a. A fee of $50 may be charged for late cancellations and reschedules, or missed appointments. This fee goes toward the time and resources allocated for your appointment.

      Payment:

      a. Late cancellation fees are the sole responsibility of the patient. Payment can be made by credit card or check.

      Exceptions:

      a. We understand that life happens, and emergencies and exceptional circumstances may occur. If you have an emergency or exceptional circumstance, please inform us as soon as possible, and we will handle your situation on a case-by-case basis.

      Appointment reminders:

      a. We make our best efforts to remind you of upcoming appointments through email reminders, push notifications in our mobile app, and other communication, using the contact information you provided to us upon registration. However, we are not liable for any late reschedules, cancellations, or missed appointments.

      Acknowledgement:

      By scheduling an appointment with Oshi Health, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this late cancellation policy. We appreciate your cooperation to help us provide the best possible care to all of our patients.

    • You can find your visit summaries in the Oshi Health mobile app by following these steps:

      1. Open the Oshi Health mobile app and navigate to Appointments
      2. Select Visit Summaries in the upper right corner. If you have any visit summaries, they will appear on this screen.
      3. You can click on a specific visit to open a visit summary

      Please note: Your summary will appear after your care team processes next steps in your care plan. 

      Tip: All unread visit summaries will appear with a red icon in the upper right corner. After the visit summary is opened, the red icon will disappear to signify that you have opened and read your visit summary.
